Biography

Avery Ryan, Ph.D. was a renowned psychological practitioner in New York City when her patient database was hacked. She lost the loyalty of her clients (one of whom was murdered), and eventually her practice; as the series begins, the crime remains unsolved. Ryan joined the FBI's Cyber Division to ensure nothing like that could happen to anybody else. Now a Special Agent in Charge out of Quantico, Ryan travels nation-wide in search of the criminals who live in the dark net, all whilst plotting ways to catch the man who destroyed her life. She is fiercely loyal to her team and heads a "hack-for-good" program, employing cyber-criminals in lieu of prison sentencing.
